Healing my body one day at a time…
We learn from what people share…
Healing your autoimmune disease is a process. It’s a hard road to take, defying social norms, saying no to the Western Diet, toting your own ice chest of healthy food to dinner parties and get-togethers, having conversations over and over with waitresses and chefs. It’s a different life for sure, but a healthy life is well worth the effort.
I am not a general practitioner, naturopathic doctor or a nutritionist, but I have healed myself enough where I was able to go back to work and create a good and happy life for myself…and I continue to do so through diet and lifestyle change.
There are a lot of websites and blogs on how to heal yourself from eating only raw vegetables, going vegan, taking certain supplements or buying into some health program. It can be confusing and expensive as you buy the latest supplements that is trending and it can still leave you sick. The most important thing to remember is, what works for one person may not work for you. You need to figure out what foods heal you and what foods you may be allergic to.
I want to share my experience…the good and the bad. I will also point you in the direction of the experts I follow and why. I hope you will return the favor and share your experience with the rest of us, so we all might learn from each other. We learn from what people share. Please share your story, comments and questions below each post.
To fully understand my progress in my healing be sure to read my blog posts. My original 4 posts are my cornerstone steps I took in my healing process. 1). what I eat, 2). Slowing down, 3). Stretching 4). Supplements.
I hope you have similar results in your healing.
I still had digestive issues, had too many sleepless nights, “body throb” flare ups…it was time to get the big guns out.
